If collecting maple leaves in autumn was your penchant, more romance awaits you in spring. Flowery prints and fabrics gentle on the skin are the features of the season. Trends are seen in flowing short hemlines, gathers, frills and very girlie stuff.
The cuts are simple, airy kind of feeling. White often is a favourite choice during spring. Floral prints can be seen with small or large flowers or leafy kind of patterns. As per the form, the print needs to be co ordinated. Plus size certainly need to choose smaller motifs. Colours in floral prints can be in peach, light orange, mild reds and sky blues. Lighter tones during the day and special colours go for evening wears.
Geometric prints add more life to the garment. A diamond pattern on a military green and forest brown combination gives a woody effect. Block prints in pure cottons are good with tunics and open necked shirts. Necklines allow lot of flattering of collar bones and long necks. The idea is to beat the heat. Go in for boat necks, wide sweethearts or square necklines. To hide wide shoulders avoid puffy double layered sleeves and play around with elbow length hands and add a little frill to necklines.
Gentle flowery lace works can be worked out around the edges of sleeves or collars. Sleeves in spring come as bell, caps, tulip and off the cuff frill. Feminine layers at the borders, cowled neck lines, overlapping short coats knotted in front add charm to any garment. Fabrics can be chiffons, pure cottons and georgettes.
Evening beach wear parties allow fashion with accessories and head gears. Large straw hats, Japanese hats, flower tucked behind one ear, bead works in bangles, long hanging chains and earrings are no-fuss fashions.
